We Want You! (to vote!)

Sister needs to pick a bridesmaid dress. One of her best friends is getting married next summer, and has tasked Sister with picking out a bridesmaid dress for herself. Sister has five choices to chose from, and some specific factors to keep in mind:

1) the dress, regardless of which style the girls choose will be black
2) each bridesmaid can choose their own dress
3) the wedding is going to be a small, elegant affair...
4) in Florida... in July. So it's gonna be HOT and humid

Late Oscar Fashion Round-Up

Still busy unpacking and sorting out life here in Washington. However, for your amusement: high-larious blog post about the dresses at the Academy Awards this year. I found this through a friend of a friend's blog (you know how it is when you're putzing on the computer while Lord of the Rings replays for the 72 millionth time on TNT and you can't fall asleep because your body is totally flummoxed as to whether it actually feels like two hours earlier or two hours later or maybe tomorrow... er... I digress...).

Anyhoo, no clue who the author is, but she's got fabulously saucy commentary on just about every red carpet dress - enjoy!

Jean Tucking Update

Who knew I would strike such a chord!?!? I should have known that fashion emergencies were what you people really craved (and not hard-hitting news or educational bits).

I purchased some leather spray from the Target today, so I could spray the Uggs and protect them from the elements (or a chance ice cream spill). As soon as they're dry and fully ready to go, I am going to attack the jean-tucking challenge again. Props to Sister for the inside tip (she of the big city mad fashion skills), which will ideally solve this major dilemma.

I will triumph!
