House Shopping List

As we're starting to make headway on the chaos, a list is forming. A list of things we want need for the house...

- flat screen television for the livingroom

- coffee table for the family room

- desk chair for my desk (which yes, Keby, came from Target - but of course!)

- bookcases for the library nook

- curtains for the bedroom

- blinds for the family room and guest room

- craft table / storage

- medicine cabinet for bathroom

- storage shelving for garage

We're obviously not purchasing all of these items in the next two weeks... however, Mom is coming on Friday and we're crashing IKEA hardcore. So, if one had to prioritize that list, what would you buy first? What item is crucial that we get ASAP?

Perhaps all of the shelving would be a good start (empty boxes could be stacked attractively as a
"make-do" coffee table!) and then anything else from the list that can be found on sale! Of course, window treatments are important for privacy as well. Oh, so much shopping to do and so little time (and $).

Craft table and craft storage has to be a priority. =)

For the good of society, I'd say the curtains for the bedroom and the blinds.

After that, shelves. Who cares if your toothpaste and deoderant have no where to hide themselves? Your books need support!

I would also say blinds.... take it from someone who has unfinished windows thus cannot have blinds yet. We live 1 mile (literally) from the in-laws... we need blinds.

I get the things that help you organize/actually move in - the bookcase, craft table. So you can organize and then have tons of fun decorating!

window treatments, then bookshelves. Always important. Then you can wander around in your underpants with a book and noone can see you...and you'll know where to find your book!

I love the word underpants.

Flat screen TV, 'nuff said.
