Snow Day Watch 2008
Day 4 - schools closed and base closed.
Still snowing. Still no real plows. A whopping 6-8 inches on the ground.
Wimps.

I'm sorry, but how is the base also closed? The millitary is afraid of snow???
What if Russia invades Anacortes?
confused TWP
Correction: Base closed except for mission critical folks. I have no clue what qualifies someone as mission critical, but I can verify that NavyGuy is not. :)
Fingers crossed for a snow day tomorrow in Chicago. They're predicting around a foot of snow along with more than an inch of ice. It could make for a very interesting commute tomorrow.
I apologize to the navy, army and all their friends. Glad to hear that Anacortes is safe and protected.
Go Navy!

This is just rediculous....another snow day????? rediculous.
(however, if we had 4 snow days, I'd be Christmas ready and my house would at least be dusted, AND i'd see the end of my ironing pile, AKA Mt. Wrinkle.)
Perhaps your National Asset (or whatever his nickname is) could fly home and become my Manny for a few days. I'd even share him with Baby M and TWP.
What do you think, Navy Guy? Want to be a Manny? TWP: want to share him?
Historygirlie, you read my mind! The only way Christmas will come to 584, with anything resembling a decoration, is if we have a snow day. At least the brandy slush is ready, so looking at the naked tree will be much more interesting! NavyGuy, I could use you around here too if you're hiring out! Shovels with all of my loved ones' names on them await!
Historygirlie,
If the navy is outsourcing, I'd take a manny any day of the week! I think the combat/survival training would come in handy for dealing with the FG's bouts of screaming!
Looking forward to meeting you at the shower!
